|Below are the details for the
October 2021 trip that is currently being planned. Obviously with
the C-19 situation plans might need to be amended.
Kyiv / Chernobyl / Pripyat Photo Experience Workshop 2021
We're going to Chernobyl, again! This will be my 11th trip I've planned there since 2014.
Thursday 21st to Friday 29th October
London Gatwick to Kyiv with Ukraine Airlines
Outbound 11:45 from Gatwick, arriving into Kyiv at 17:00 - Thurs 21st Oct - PS 112
Return 16:30 from Kyiv, arriving at Gatwick 18:00 - Fri 29th Oct - PS 113
However, should you wish to arrive/depart on different dates - you'll get less time in Kyiv, we can of course make that work.
NB. I've booked my flight for the 21st October as I would like to spend a bit more time in Kyiv, and currently I'm planning to take the train back home to London, probably departing Kyiv train station on the evening of 28th October. This is a personal holiday/trip tagged onto the end of the PED.

£250.00 for the PED (we all book our own flights/hotels etc), in addition please see "The Tour" below for information on how the pricing for the Chernobyl tour works.
Please contact me via my contact page.
We'll be staying at the Ukraine Hotel in central Kiev. It's situated in Independence Square and has the most amazing views from the top floors. It's a bit soviet era, but I think it's worth that to be able to access the views any time of the day or night.

Hotel prices are from around 40 euros a night.
The Chernobyl Tour
The cost for a private 3 day tour, including all meals and three nights in a Chernobyl hotel is 600 euro for 4 people. This figure will rise/fall depending on the number of people who go.
This price also includes a tour inside the nuclear power station.
The tour will be booked with a known and trusted contact, arguably the best tour guide for Chernobyl. So good that he featured on the recent Ben Fogle documentary.
At time of booking I ask that people book the flights and hotels.
The fee of £250 for the PED will be invoiced in September 2021.
The Chernobyl hotel is basic dormitory style accommodations. We will only be in rooms with people from our group.
There is much to see and do in Kiev. Independence Square, St Sophia Cathedral, Lavra, St Michael's Cathedral, St Andrew's Church, Motherland Statue, Dymano Kiev Stadium, Aircraft Museum.
There will not be a detailed itinerary for any of the days, we'll decide as a group where we want to go and when etc.
Please note. This is not a formal teaching event, although I will of course be there to help with any photography related questions you might have.
Time Difference: Ukraine is in GMT +2, so it is 2 hours ahead of British time.
Plug socket is normal European type (ie two round pins).
It is not recommended to drink the tap water.
